apartment is a charming and open 375 square foot 3rd floor
studio on East First Street
between 1st & 2nd Avenue overlooking First Street Park and across
from Houston Street:
South
light, peaceful and bright.
Wood floors, brick walls, art & antiques, candles, pine
dining nook and small kitchen area
with
microwave, small refridgerator, stovetop, and a bar.
There is a full bath, mirrored dressing
area, and also a wardrobe with some hanging space and
shelves.
Double futon, (air mattress available
also) linens and towels, lively street views,
and a backyard
terrace.
Wireless available, & small tv with local channels. The building
itself is
quite safe and
locked
on the outside and has an intercom. Smoking is allowed with window open.
Lower East Side. Across
the street
is a park with an
outdoor cafe, playground and handball court.
Places of note: The
New Museum, Bowery Poetry Club, Whole Foods, Russ
& Daughters, La MaMa,
Sunshine Cinema, Anthology Film
Archives....
On the
street are several very good and popular restaurants and cafes such as
'Prune', plus juice
and coffee bars.
(The BMW Guggenheim Lab chose East 1st St. to launch their first
temporary site last summer/fall 2011)
Transportation in every direction: F train across the street, #6 IRT
train 3 blocks west.
Bus stops on both corners of
the block, and taxis can be easily hailed at any time of the day or
night.
